Following a detailed review of the Village Hall Trust arrangements throughout 2015-16, the Managing Trustees concluded that today’s needs would be best served by the following structure:
An Executive Committee of Trustees (currently comprising 8 Trustees) with overall responsibility for managing and controlling all aspects of the Trust and for compliance with relevant laws, statutes and regulations - with delegated authority to:
Village Hall Management Committee
The Village Hall Management Committee (currently comprising 5 Trustees plus 3 non-Trustee committee members) is responsible for Bookings, Usage, Hire charges, Income and Expenditure and general maintenance of the Hall
Old Workhouse Management Committee
An Old Workhouse Management Committee (currently comprising 4 Trustees) is responsible for managing the tenancy and general maintenance of the Old Workhouse.
This structure provides the necessary strategic oversight coupled with appropriate focus and accountability for managing the detailed operations of the Trust.
